Location: Austin, TX Assess the eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for nonimmigrant and immigrant visa status in the United States to understand precise legal issues when preparing cases and to determine strengths and weaknesses of the cases. Review initial filings prepared by paralegals/legal assistants. Analyze Requests for Evidence (RFE) and Notices of Intent to Deny/Revoke issued by USCIS and formulate responses by preparing statements of issues involved, detailing the legal arguments, drafting motions and responses to RFEs and NOIDs. Advise and work in conjunction with client Legal/HR/Immigration/Mobility staff to prepare nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications for submission to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), and U.S. Consulates. Assist in development and/or support of clients' immigration program and compliance initiatives. Train paralegal and support staff on immigration practice and procedure. Research immigration law and procedures. Track the status of filings and inform clients of any follow up that may be necessary. Assist other firm attorneys in developing case strategies for NIV and IV petitions. Assist with preparations and management of annual H-IB Cap season. Prepare reports and spreadsheets as required. Other duties as required. Telecommuting Permitted with reporting to office several times a month.
